Product 01 — Côte d'Ivoire origin
Cocoa beans
Côte d'Ivoire is the world's leading cocoa producer. We buy at farmgate, complete drying and sorting in Abidjan, then ship in full containers.
Merchantable cocoa
From pod to jute bag
The cocoa we buy has been fermented and then sun-dried on raised racks at village level. On arrival every lot goes through a cutting test: beans are opened one by one on a sample to read fermentation, spot slaty or mouldy beans and confirm bean count.
Lots are then dried further where needed, cleaned, sorted and rebagged in new jute bags, ready for stuffing.
